"I had the privilege to work with Artisan and Justin Simmons on the re-roofing of my home. His extensive knowledge of the product and skill in metal working is seen in every detail. I am truly grateful for the work he put into the project and I am very pleased with the Decra roofing system that I purchased."

Services & FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions:

Question: Is metal roofing noisy?

Answer: NO. The stone coated metal design deadens the sound of the rain and hail unlike a non-stone coated steel roof.

Question: Will metal roofing attract lightning?

Answer: NO. The probability of a lightning strike to a metal roofed structure is as likely as any other kind of structure. The
probability of a strike has to do with the height and size of the structure and its surroundings, rather than its construction materials.

Question: Are stone coated metal roofs heavy?

Answer: NO. Stone coated metal roofing is in fact the lightest roofing product on the market.

Question:Is stone coated metal roofing more expensive than other types of roofing?

Answer: Not in the least. While a stone coated metal roof does cost more initially, it offers more value for your money in the long run. With a minimum 50 year life expectancy, you would have to purchase and install three times as many shingle roofs for the cost of one stone coated metal roof. Like most products you buy, you get what you pay for. A stone coated metal roof offers more for your money. It is not cost effective to put three roofs on your house because the first one was cheaper and subsequently failed. Stone coated metal roofs are durable because the aluminum-zinc alloy coated steel enhances the superior weathering and corrosion resistance of each roofing panel.A stone coated metal roof can last a lifetime and increases the value of your home.

Please refer to the chart Metal Roofing VS. Asphalt Roofing located at the bottom of the benefits page.

Question: Can metal roofing rust?

Answer: Painted steel roofing can rust due to peeling protective coating. But NOT stone coated metal panels. Stone coated metal roof panels are made from high quality 26-gauge, pre-primed, galvanized steel that is coated with an acrylic base coat. Ceramic earth-stone granules are then embedded over this base coat. Finally, a clear acrylic over-glaze is applied
and baked on. This provides your home with a long-lasting, durable and fade-resistant protection for a lifetime of enjoyment.

Question: Can you walk on metal roofing?

Answer: YES you can! The stone coating and durability of the metal make this type of metal roofing very easy to walk on without slipping, unlike steel roofing which can be dented and is extremely slippery.
